Vishwakarma Institute of Technology is one of the private educational institutions of Pune. This institute was established in 1983. The college has received affiliation from the University of Pune. It receives financial aid from Bansilal Ramanath Agrawal Charitable Trust of Pune. The All India Council for Technical Education has recognized it.
The institute derives its name, Vishwakarma Institute of Technology from one of the gods of Hindu mythology named Vishwakarma.
