had a habit of collecting arthropods from a very early age. In order to display his wide collection, he set up this amazing museum. The museum was thus established in Pune in the year 1961. Different types of Arthropodas that are displayed over here include Insects, Crustaceans, Arachnida and Myriopoda.
This museum of Pune also organizes several research and educational programs. Those who are pursuing courses on Zoology can participate in the competitions, pertaining to their area of study, that are held over here. Added to this, a number of tours are also conducted by this Pune museum. Often short courses on entymology are offered to the interested candidates.
