The campus of Mahindra United World College of India is situated about 40 km away from Pune. It is situated in Taluka Mulshi near Paud village in Maharashtra. The college campus is spread over an area of about 175 acres.
The Government of India granted the permission to set up Mahindra United World College of India (MUWCI) in 1993. The construction of the building started in 1995. The college started in 1997 with 11 faculties and 87 students.
Students from about 75 countries come to Mahindra United World College of India to pursue education. It receives faculty from countries like New Zealand, Canada, Argentina, France, Japan, United Kingdom and Germany. MUWCI maintains a ratio of 1:9 between teachers and students.
MUWCI offers a 2 year Diploma Program in International Baccalaureate or IB. Universities in other countries recognize this diploma. In India the diploma in IB is considered to be equivalent to board exams of +2 level. Under the diploma program of IB, students are offered to study primary and secondary languages, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, visual and performing arts.

Keshub and Harish Mahindra founded Mahindra United World College of India. This college of Pune also helps in carrying out several developmental projects for the nearby villages. Along with an organization, it took up different programs for welfare of the village people. It also aids a rural high school for providing proper education to village children.
Mahindra United World College of India offers different facilities for students and staff of the institute. Students can access Internet at the IT center of the college. The library of MUWCI is well maintained and possesses about 10,000 books. For science students, it has well equipped laboratories.
It offers accommodation to students and faculty members. They have residential quarters divided into 4 wards. The college authority has a medical center to treat minor medical problems. There is a cafeteria for students of the college. A music center and an art studio have been set up at the college campus.
Mahindra United World College of India has set up a swimming pool, basketball court, tennis court, volleyball court, cricket and football grounds for recreation of the students. It has also set up a gymnasium. Students of MUWCI can meet up at the social center of the college set up in the campus.
