Bishops School, established on 19th April, 1864 is a reputed school in Pune, Maharashtra. The school comprises a junior, middle and senior section. The school is affiliated to the Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi.
Location of Bishops School
Bishops School has three campuses in Pune. The Bishop's co- educational school in Kalyaninagar is 6 km away from the Pune railway station and the other school is in Undri, Pune. The school camp(General Bhagat Marg) in the Pune cantonment area is just 2 km from Pune railway station.
School Timings
Bishop's School camp: The lower KG starts at 7.45 am and gets over at 11.20 am. The upper KG and class I begins at 7.20 am and continues till 12.20 pm and 1.00 pm respectively. The timings for Class II to Class X is 7:20 am to 01:35 pm. For Classes XI and XII, it is from 1.50 pm to 06.10 pm.
At Kalayaninagar: School starts from 9.30 am to 11:30 am for nursery children, 8.40 am to 12:40 am for LKG and UKG and 8:40 am to 03.00 pm for Class I TO IX.
At Unri: School is from 8.00 am to 11:30 am for Nursery and LKG, 8.00 am to 1:00 pm for UKG and I and 8.00 am to 01:35 pm for Class II and above.
Admission Procedures
Admission forms are available along with the prospectus from the school office. The documents to be submitted along with the admission form are:
- Birth certificate in original
- Progress report (if attended school previously)
- Chest screening report
- Medical certificate from a registered practitioner
Students are admitted from 2 years 6 months for the nursery section. For admission to classes above one, transfer certificate is required.

School Uniform
The boys are required to wear white shirt, shorts (white trousers for students of class VII to X), tie, school belt, maroon or white socks, black shoes with lace.. The school is very strict with its principles and rules. Those are untidy are not allowed to enter the school. All the boys must come clean and dressed neatly to the school.
At the Kalyaninagar and Undri Bishop's school campus, girls have to wear a white frock, black shoes (belt ) with white socks.

The subjects of study at Bishops school include Biology, Physics, Chemistry, History, Craft, Sanskrit, Literature, English Language, Commerce, Mathematics, Reading Writing, Hindi, Marathi, SUPW, Physical Training, Computers and Moral Instruction.
Extracurricular Activities
The school lays great emphasis on co curricular activities for the overall growth and development of a child. The students are grouped into four different houses- red, blue, green and yellow. Different sports like football, hockey, lawn tennis, boxing, badminton, volleyball, basketball, roller-skating, swimming, marathon, cricket and chess. Inter house and inter school competitions are held regularly.
