Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Pune


Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is a renowned educational organization in Pune. This national educational institute was established in the year 1938 in Mumbai. Dr. K.M. Munshi was the founder of the school. The Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Pune branch was also established in same year on 2nd October. Swami Rangnathanadji Maharaj, a member of the Ramakrishna Math inaugurated this institute. There are around 90 campuses of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan institute spread all over India.

The Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Pune campus is located in 407-408, K.M. Munshi Marg, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Chowk in Shivajinagar, Pune. The institute of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Pune is spread across an area of around 4 acres. The organization has bought this land from the Maharashtra Government. There is also a playground in front of the school campus.

The chairman of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Pune is Lt. Gen. Y. D. Sahasrabuddhe, PVSM and Shri. S. R. Nandkumar Kakirde is the honorable Secretary. On the other hand, the Executive Vice Chairman of the institute is Prof. V. R. Deshpande.
