Wilson College, Mumbai is situated on New Charni Road, Chowpatty Mumbai. In the year 1840 this famous educational institute was set up in Mumbai. It is considered to be one of the oldest colleges in the city of Mumbai. This college is popularly known as Ambroli English School. In the year 1861, it got affiliation from the Bombay University. In the Colonial India of 19th century, it was treated as one of the most remarkable higher educational institutes in the metropolitan city of Mumbai.
The college offers programs on Science, Arts, Self financing. Professional courses can also be pursued over here. Its Arts Department include History, Political Science, Philosophy, Sociology, Economics, Sanskrit, Hindi, English, French and Marathi subjects. On the other hand, Science Departments includes subjects like, Microbiology, Mathematics, Zoology, Physics, Chemistry. Apart from this, the college offers Management studies, Commerce and Mass Media courses.

On a regular basis, Wilson College, Mumbai organizes several Co-operative Education Program in order to make the students fit for the professional world. This famous college of Mumbai inspires its pupils to show their talents. For serving this purpose, many competitions, cultural programs, workshops and inter-collegiate events (named `Polaris`) are held over here. Moreover, the department of BMS also arranges a fest named Adora.
In this college, students are also encouraged to take part part in Karate, Basket Ball, Boxing and Volley Ball events. Added to this, there is a Nature Club in the college campus. It also has an Alumni association.
This college offers around 520 seats for science stream and 260 for Arts stream. For both boys and girls, college provides hostels. Dr. V.J. Sirwaiya is the Principal, whereas Mr. Dalal is the Vice-Principal of this college.
