Prithvi Theatre is one of the best theaters of Mumbai. It is located on Juhu Church Road, 20 Janki Kutir, Mumbai-400049. Presently, the plays that are running in this theater hall of Mumbai are Hai Mera Dil, "MITR", Jis Lahore Naihin Dekhya, Damages, A Special Bond, Hadh Kar Di Aapne, Chotu Speaking, Medha & Zoombish-II, Agar Aur Magar, Time To Tell A Tale, Chinta Chhod Chintamani, Daudaa Daudaa Bhaaga Bhaaga, Kaal Chakra, Choo Mantar, Hey Bhagwan, Hardam Mareez, Kissa Yoni Ka, Sach Juta Namak, Karna - The Generous Warrior, Aao Sathi Sapna Dekhe, WHos Afraid Of Virginia woolf, Mummy Please!!!, Chandu Ki Chachi, Jazz. All those are Hindi dramas.
In the year 1978 this theater hall was set up. It has the accommodation capacity of 200. The hall comprises a wonderful stage and highly advanced sound and lighting accessories. Each and every day this theater hall attends a huge number of theater-lovers, however, on Monday it remains closed. Usually from Tuesday to Sunday Prithvi Theatre remains open from 10.00 A.M to 1.00 P.M and in the 2nd half, from 2.00 P.M to 7.00 P.M. A photo gallery, a small bookshop and a cafe are in close proximity to this theater venue.
Besides providing space for theatrical performances, it also serves as a theater organizer. During summer seasons, Prithvi Theater organizes workshops that are attended by children. They prefer to work in partnership. Besides this, it also takes part in documentary film making and experiments with Marathi theaters.

This theater belongs to Kapoor family and is considered to be the subsidiary body of Shri Prithviraj Kapoor Memorial Trust
and Research Foundation. This theater is a non-profit organization. It gets financial assistance from a number of companies as well as from individuals.
The primary concern of Prithvi Theatre is to bring an enhanced professionalism in the field of theater. This theater is marked for its welcoming attitude, realistic approach towards theatrical performances, deep belief in other's ideas, and respect for theater.
The Prithvi Theater consists of the following team members:

- Narayan Dhanawade, Lightman
- Babaji Mandavkar, Storekeeper and several others.
Each year around 400 performances are held annually. All shows performed over here are meant for public. Ticket rates ranges from Rs 50 to Rs 200. In the month of November, this theater houses its yearly Prithvi Theatre Festival (in the year 1983, this theater festival was held for the first time).
