Karan Johar is better known as a Bollywood director and producer, though he has worked as a script writer and talk show host. He had also played small roles in movies and designed movie costumes for other actors. Karan Johar is the son of late film producer, Yash Johar. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was a big hit among both Indian audience and in other countries. The theme of the movie was the triangular love story of Sharukh Khan with Kajol and Rani Mukherjee.
After this movie venture in 1998, his second movie, Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham was released in the year 2001.
