Jain Temple Mumbai, popularly known as Babu Amichand Panalal Adishwarji Jain Temple was built in the year 1904. This is one of the most beautifully decorated Jain temples in Mumbai. The two elephants made of white stone on the two sides of the entrance of the Jain Temple are really awesome to look at. The intricate designs of the temple have attracted many tourists during their tour to the city.
Glancing at the Interiors
On entering the temple, the richly ornamented carved ceilings and the beautiful structures and paintings spellbound the visitors. The ceiling has colorful carved decorations with the pictures of different goddesses and deities. The name of all the planets according to Hindu mythology like Rahu, Ketu, Sun, Venus, Moon, etc, are carved on the stone ceilings of the Jain temple. The white walls of the temple have intricate figures and sculptures carved on them.

The Jain people believe that no animals or insects should be killed. This is the reason they do not offer any flower to the deities of the temple, as they think that flowers might contain insects.
