Located in 23-24, Backbay Reclamation, "A" Road, Churchgate, Jai Hind College is considered to be one of the famous higher educational institutes in Mumbai. In the year 1948, this famous Mumbai College was set up by the teachers of D J Sind College of Karachi.
Courses Offered in the College:
Initially, this institute started its operation as a Science and Arts college. However, with a course of time, it started to introduce standardized new study programs. In 1980, Commerce stream was introduced in the college, whereas, later in 1999, Computer Science and BMM courses started and in 2002, Biotechnology-related courses were incorporated in the college. Finally, in 2003, Banking and Insurance programs were introduced.
How to Get Admitted:
Presently, over 5000 students are studying at this college. To get admission to the Junior college of Jai Hind, one should pass the matriculation examination. This college runs its operation under the careful observation of Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education. On the other hand, after passing the Higher Secondary education, one gets admission to the Jai Hind degree college. It provides 3-years under-graduate programs.

This Mumbai College comprises canteen, auditorium, air-conditioned library, computer labs and water coolers on each floor audio-visual center. Throughout the year, a number of events were held over here. Some of the events that took place over here in the recent times are The LDS's Interactive session, Graduation Ceremony, English Association's Theater Workshop and Kewalramani Speaking Contest.

President of this college is Mr. Kamal Bhavnani, whereas, Mr. Jetu Lalvani is its Vice President. Dr Kirti Narain is the Principal of Jai Hind College. Prof. N.W. Shivdasani's, on the other hand is the Director.
The academic terms of Jai Hind College are divided into 2 parts, June to October, 1st term and November to April, 2nd term.

College Associations:
While talking about this college, its Alumni Association is also worth mentioning. On 19th April 1997, this forum was established. It mainly encourages its ex-students to take part in the cultural programs of this college. The Social and Dramatic Union, the Magazine Committee, Rotaract Club and Gymkhana are also there to inspire the Co-Curricular Activities of the students. Apart from this, the college comprises the English Association Mathematics Society, Le Club Francais, Physics Society and several other associations.
