Vidyasagar Mela is an annual fair held in Kolkata. This fair is organized at the Kolkata Maidan during the months of December or January. The aim of Vidyasagar Mela is to honor Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar and to make the common men aware of his teachings. In 1994, the first Vidyasagar Mela of Kolkata was organized. This was held at the venue opposite Birla Planetarium and Rabindra Sadan.
Bangiya Sakhsharata Prasar Samity organizes Vidyasagar Mela in Kolkata. Before organizing Vidyasagar Mela in Calcutta, this fair was held in 1992 at Beersingha, the birth place of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar. But this fair was shifted to Calcutta to reach out to more number of people. In the year 2001, this fair was held in both the venues of Beersingha and Kolkata Maidan.

Vidyasagar Mela is very different from the other fairs in Calcutta. This fair wants to spread the social messages of Vidyasagar. He undertook reform initiatives for the welfare of the society.
