Royal Calcutta Golf Club is one of the most famous golf clubs of Kolkata. In the year 1829, this oldest golf club of Calcutta was founded. Initially, the club was situated very close to the Calcutta airport. Thereafter the club was shifted to the Maidan. However, at present, the club is situated at Tollygunge. The exact current location of this club is 18 Golf Club Road. Queen Mary and King George V honored this club with the "Royal" title.
The Royal Calcutta comprises a green bowling division which was established during the initial era of 18th century. Some of the remarkable trophies won by the Royal Calcutta Golf Club are the Silver Cashmere Cup, Royal Blackhealth Medal, Calcutta Cup and several others.

constitutes 18 holes and has picturesque lakes along with a number of trees. The specific part of a land far away from the club house has been sold to the government of Bengal. This was done in order to provide a space to the refugees for recreational purposes.
Calcutta Golf Club has 72 par course and also comprises a swimming pool and a number of tennis courts. On the other hand, in Maidan, this Club looks after a lawn bowls pavilion. Some of the great names in the world of golf have played important tournaments of their life in the Royal Calcutta Golf Club. Pamela Barton, H S Malik, Walter Hagen and I S Malik have left their victorious imprint in the golf course of Royal Calcutta Golf Club.
In the year 2003, a special performance by Ramon Lopez and Pandit Hariprasad was held in this club.
