Red FM a .premier radio station of Kolkata was launched on 2nd May, 2003. Red FM 93.5 is one of the 24 hour live FM radio stations of Calcutta. As per current survey reports of Indian Listeners, Red 93.5 FM is rated at the second position.
Red FM initially owned by the India Today group is presently owned by Kalinidhi Maran together with a minority share of NDTV, Astro. The takeover from the India Today Group took place in 2006.
This private radio station has spent nearly Rs.18 crores in acquiring broadcasting license and another Rs. 20 crores on setting up its infrastructure in Kolkata, Delhi and Mumbai.

Red FM in Kolkata airs interactive programs targeting people of different age categories. A few of their popular programs are:

- Namoshkar Kolkata - Hosted by RJ Nilam this program is broadcast from 7am - 10am from Mondays to Saturdays.

- U- Turn - This 4 hour program from 5 pm to 9 pm is very popular. It is conducted by RJ Vineet from Monday to Friday
- Aaj Radio Poora Filmi hai - This Sunday evening program aired between 5 o'clock and 8 o'clock is hosted by Anurag Pandey
- Sangeet ki Sitaron ki Mehfil - Hosted by Ameen Sayani this program is held between 8 pm and 9 pm on Sundays.
- Lamhe - This program conducted by RJ Rehan is held on Mondays through Thursdays from 9pm to 12 midnight
- Dil Se - This Friday night program between 10 pm to 3 am is conducted by RJ Jimmy.
- Saturday Night Live - RJ Jose hosts this Saturday night program from 9 pm till 12 midnight.
