P.C. Sorcar Jr is the worthy son of an illustrious father, Shri P.C. Sarkar of Kolkata. Like his father Pratul Chandra Sorcar, Prodip Chandra Sorcar (P.C. Sorcar Jr.) had spread the fame of Indian magic further. He has added more glamour to his performances with classical dance and modern music.
Early life of P. C. Sorcar Jr.
Prodip Chandra Sorcar, is one among the five children of their father Pratul Chandra Sorcar and Basanti Devi. Among two daughters and three sons, Prodip was the second son. P. C. Sorcar Jr. was a brilliant student and studied both Science and Arts for his graduation. He did his Masters in Applied Psychology from Calcutta University.
Magician P.C. Sorcar Jr. started his professional career in Japan in 1971 immediately after his father's death on 6th January 1971. He began from where his father left. Prodip Chandra Sorcar married Joyshree daughter of Arun Kumar Ghosh and Nilima Devi in 1972 on 22nd May.

Prodip Chandra Sorcar bettered his shows with trendy and classical dance sequences, modern choreography, updated techniques and new equipments. Added to this was his magnetic stage presence and incomparable showmanship. Like his father, P.C. Sorcar had performed and mesmerized audiences all over the world.
He is the National President of All India Magic Circle. He has been appointed as the Vice President of Intellectual Forum and the President of International Brotherhood of Magicians of Ring 83 in United States of America. He is the member of the Magic Circles of Rome, Paris, Hamburg, Brazil, Sydney, and Tokyo. P.C. Sorcar Jr. has also been honored by Indian President N. Sanjeeva Reddy and Prime Minister Srimati Indira Gandhi for his extraordinary performance.
The legacy of “Indrajal” which is being carried by P.C. Sorcar Jr. will be carried forward by his three daughters Maneka, Mumtaz, and Moubani.
