Expansion Plans of Kolkata Metro
There are plans to extend the metro services from Tollygunge to New Garia. Expectedly, there would be six more station, of which five will be elevated stations. The six stations would be located in Kudghat, Bansdroni, Garia Bazar, Pranas Nagar and New Garia. The works of expansion were sanctioned roughly around 1999 and 2000.
Buying Tickets of Kolkata Metro Railway Station
The passengers are expected to buy the tickets of the correct price before boarding the train. The price of the ticket differs with the distance. Usually, the price decided by the number of zones that the passenger travels. The zones are decided on the basis of minimum distance from one particular metro station. Tickets are of different types.
