Marble Palace is situated in the northern part of Kolkata at Muktaram Babu Street of Chorabagan. Raja Rajendra Mullick constructed the Marble Palace in 1835 with the use of 126 types of marbles. The painting of Reuben depicting the wedding of Catherine, in particular, is popular among the art enthusiasts.
A zoo also exists in the premises of the Palace which houses a variety of species, specially birds.
Marble Palace can be visited on all days of the week from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm, except Mondays and Thursdays. The nearest metro station is at Mahatma Gandhi Road and Howrah is the closest railway station from Marble Palace.
