Calcutta Club

Calcutta Club is one of the oldest clubs in Calcutta which was established in 1906. Calcutta Club is located at 241 A. J. C. Bose Road, Kolkata 700 020. The members of this club have to follow certain rules and regulations.

The club authority allows only wives, sons between age of 18 and 21 and unmarried girls who are above 18 years. Children are not allowed in the club on all days. They can come along with their parents only on Sundays from 11 am to 11 pm and on Thursdays.

Jeans is not allowed in the evening. The members are not allowed to enter the club premises wearing shirt with dhoti, kurta and pyjama and in open chappals. There are some regulations for members coming to play tennis as well.

Members of Calcutta Club are provided with parking facilities within the premises of the club. But to park the car, the member needs to have the car sticker provided by the club authority. If members bring chauffeurs, then those cars can be parked after 6.30 pm, outside the club premise.

Calcutta Club authority has put up some restrictions on using cellular phones. Members can not use their mobiles when they are at the dining room, in library, in billiard room, in card room, in men's and mixed bars of the club.

Members of Calcutta Club can avail the facilities of the small or large conference rooms. They can also

book residential rooms, regal rooms, crystal room and the sports complex of the club for certain hours. In the club premise, several events and celebrations are organized. A party along with dinner is arranged on the New Year's Eve.

Members in Calcutta Club can access a number of facilities. They can enjoy tasty dishes in Calcutta Club. The dining room of the club remains open on all days of the week from 1 pm to 2.30 pm when lunch is served. On Sunday, Tuesday and Monday guests can dine here from 8 pm to 10 pm. On other days of the week the dining room is available to members from 8 pm to 10.30 pm. There is an ice cream parlor and a tandoor corner in the club premise.
