Tripunithura


Tripunithura is a small municipal town of Kerala, situated at a distance of 10 kilometers from the city of Kochi. It is located at a central point between Kottyam, Piravom and Kochi. The place is well-known for housing the Cochin Hill Palace of Tripunithura.

Tripunithura Hill Palace

Tripunithura Hill palace is a historical building. In
ancient time the palace was the residence of many rulers of Kerala. The distance of the palace from the city center is about 14 kilometers. From Kochi and other parts of Kerala, travelers can avail bus services to reach the palace of Tripunithura.

At present the palace has been turned into a museum and visited by many tourists. The museum is open for the public visit on all days of the week excluding Mondays. It remains open from 9.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and 2.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.
