The Port Trust of Cochin has taken several steps to develop and improve the functioning of the Port at Kochi. Kochi Port is the first Indian port to implement the Enterprise Resource Planning in India. Several technological innovations are also applied and implemented for the betterment of services in the port. Presently, Cochin Port Trust is trying to design, develop and implement a new support system that is called the ‘Integrated Port Information System’. This will help in streamlining the various works and business procedures in the port. This system will also help in monitoring the works done by the different departments in the port and achieve high excellence.
