Description
The Paradeshi synagogue of Kochi features scrolls from Jewish Torah and is an elaborately carved teak Ark. The synagogue exhibits the royal gold crowns embedded with precious gems of the then kings who ruled Kochi. Some of the features of the Paradeshi synagogue are the pulpit made of gold, the Belgium chandeliers, hand-painted floor tiles and the interlocking pews. The clock tower dates back to the 18th century and was donated by Ezekiel Rahabi. Rahabi also brought the floor tiles from China.
