Ramohalli, located at a distance of about 28 kilometers southeast of Bangalore, is a popular picnic spot in the city. The place is famous for the grand banyan tree, which is almost 400 years old. The banyan tree is spread over a large area of three acres. This grand tree is one of the biggest trees in the state of Karnataka.
Ramohalli can be reached via bus from Bangalore.There is also a direct bus that departs from

the Bangalore City Center and reaches Ramohalli. The tree has expanded massively and has given rise to many hanging roots. The heavy, leaf-laden branches of the tree have bent towards the ground.
The surrounding of Ramohalli, Bangalore is rustic and makes a perfect picnic spot. The only trace of urbanization that can be found in the place is the Banyan Tree Restaurant, which is operated and administered by the Tourism Department of India.
