Bangalore People


Bangalore people mostly speak in Kannada. They are known as Bangaloreans. Besides Hindus, there are also Muslims and Christians staying in the city. People from other states of India and abroad also live in this city of Karnataka. Over 6 million people inhabit in Bangalore making it the third densely populated city of India.

Bangalore people mostly comprises of people from Hindu community. Other than Hindus, there is also a small section of Muslims and Christians in the city. Bangalore has about an approximate of 13.37% of Muslims, 1.05% of Jains and 5.79% of Christian population. Kannada is the official language of the people of
Bangalore. The other languages that are widely spoken by the people in Bangalore are English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. This is because a large number of people from other states like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra inhabit in Bangalore.

Over 6 million people lives in Bangalore. The density of population is estimated to be 3,000 per square kilometer. There are also people from backward communities like Schedules Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
