Karaga Festival is one of the famous events celebrated in the city of Bangalore. This occasion is held in the Dharmaraya Swamy Temple. Goddess Shakti is worshipped during this occasion. in Bangalore people set out for a spectacular procession led by a priest of the temple. After sunset, the priest sets out on the road with an earthen pot in hand, which remains full of flowers. The priest, dressed like a woman, walks down the street followed by a group of Thigalars, who carries dazzling swords in hand.
The procession attracts many visitors in Bangalore at the time of the Karaga Festival.
