Girish Karnad is a contemporary playwright, writer, movie director and actor belonging to Kannada language. Girish Karnad was born in Matheran and his parents spoke Konkani language. Girish Karnad completed the degree of Bachelor of Arts in the year 1958 from Karnataka University. After completing graduation, Karnad went to England and completed master degree in Philosophy, Economics and Politics.
