It is a multidisciplinary research institute carrying out various research programs in the fields related to science and engineering.
Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) is ideally situated in Jakkur, north of Bangalore city. It is a multidisciplinary research institute. This institute carries out research in the fields related to science and engineering. It was established by the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India in 1989. This organization receives fund from the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India.

University of Agricultural Sciences



University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore was established in 1964 by the Government of Mysore. One can pursue various undergraduate, post graduate and doctoral programs in agriculture and allied sciences. Dr. R. Govindan is the director of this university. There is an excellent library and laboratory in this university.

University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore came up in 1964 due to the efforts made by the Government of Mysore. Situated in the northern part of Bangalore, the university is located at a distance of 14 kilometers from the railway station. Dr. R. Govindan is the director of this university of Bangalore. This State University is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). It is also UGC recognized.

Bangalore University



Bangalore University, founded in 1886, received the status of university in 1964. It was accredited by NAAC in 2001. About 375 colleges are affiliated to this university. It possesses 70 post graduate departments. A number of graduates from this university are placed abroad. Dr. HA Ranganath is the current Vice Chancellor of this university.

Bangalore University was established in 1886. But it received the status of a university in 1964 on 10th of July. This university is one of the leading universities of India and is UGC recognized. It used to be a Central College under the British Government in 1886. It received a five star status by NAAC in 2001. The present Vice Chancellor of this university is Dr. HA Ranganath.
