University of Agricultural Sciences

University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore was established in 1964 by the Government of Mysore. One can pursue various undergraduate, post graduate and doctoral programs in agriculture and allied sciences. Dr. R. Govindan is the director of this university. There is an excellent library and laboratory in this university.

University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore came up in 1964 due to the efforts made by the Government of Mysore. Bangalore University, founded in 1886, received the status of university in 1964. It was accredited by NAAC in 2001. About 375 colleges are affiliated to this university. It possesses 70 post graduate departments. A number of graduates from this university are placed abroad. Dr. HA Ranganath is the current Vice Chancellor of this university.

It used to be a Central College under the British Government in 1886. It received a five star status by NAAC in 2001. The present Vice Chancellor of this university is Dr. HA Ranganath.
