Bangalore Climate


Bangalore is situated at an altitude of 949 meters above sea level. The city has a dry tropical savannah type of climate. Summers are usually warm and rains are frequent in Bangalore. Bangalore Climate is of moderate type, thus winter in Bangalore is also pleasurable compared to the weather of other cities of India.

The maximum temperature of Bangalore in summer t rises up to 36°C and the minimum temperature in
winter drop to 17°C. For the soothing climatic condition, the city is often referred to as the 'Air-conditioned city in India'.

Monsoon in Bangalore starts in July and sustains till September. The greenery and parks around Bangalore adds to the beautiful weather of the city. The green city of Bangalore is thus also called the 'Garden City of India'.
