About Bangalore Aquarium
The aquarium in Bangalore is placed in an octagonal building. This large aquarium was opened to the public in the year 1983. The aquarium is managed by the Department of Fisheries under the state government.

There are three floors in Bangalore Aquarium. On the ground floor of the building there is a laboratory and the office. An outlet for fish feed is also there on the ground floor.
On the first floor there are 14 huge tanks, which have various species of cultivable fishes. In the second floor the visitors can get to see two rows of tanks. There are 23 tanks of medium size in the upper row and 46 small tanks in the lower row. These two rows house ornamental fish.

The Aquarium in Bangalore remains open daily from 10.00 am in the morning to 5.00pm in the evening. A nominal entrance fee has to be paid by the visitors to enter the Bangalore Aquarium.
