Heroes' Square


Heroes' Square, a major attraction in Budapest, is a fine example of the architecture in the city. It was built in 1896 and commemorates the people who had first settled in the region now known as Budapest. Tourists visiting the monument can also tour the Museum of Fine Arts and the Palace of Art, which are situated on either side of the monument.
