Chinese- Hungarian Bilingual School


In an endeavor to enhance mutual understanding, the Chinese- Hungarian Bilingual School of Budapest was established by the combined efforts of the Chinese and Hungarian governments.

The Chinese- Hungarian Bilingual School is located in the 15 th District of the city of Budapest. Founded in September 2, 2004, the school was set up with the help and support of the governments of China and Hungary. Both contributed significantly to the establishment of the school to enhance better understanding between the two communities.

The basic infrastructural facilities of the Chinese-
Hungarian Bilingual School has been provided by the Hungarian government. The Chinese government, on the other hand, have sent experienced teachers and necessary educational equipments including books, projectors, computers, printers, television sets and DVD players. Instruments to play Chinese folk music have also been provided to enhance participation of students in co-curricular activities.

The Chinese- Hungarian Bilingual School has a strength of approximately 100 students, from both the Chinese community living in Hungary as well as others. The school is divided into 4 grades and comprises of 6 classes. Along with Chinese, other languages like English and Hungarian are also included in the school curriculum. The school faculty comprises both Chinese and Hungarian teachers expert in their fields.
