Weihnachtsmarkt is a popular Christmas market in Hanover, Germany. This street market is closely associated with Christmas celebrations in the city. Weihnachtsmarkt is held during "advent" and starts four weeks prior to Christmas. "Advent" is the period that precedes Christmas. The Christmas market is more of a festival than a market.
