Pascual Jordan is known for his valued contribution to quantum mechanics and quantum electrodynamics. He was born on 18th October, 1902 in Hanover. Pascual also founded the theory of cosmology, which made the universal constants of nature, dependent and variable. He is remembered among the famous people from Hanover.
Works of Pascual Jordan
Ernst Pascual Jordan studied zoology, mathematics and physics at Gottingen. Later in 1926 he became a lecturer at the same university. Pascual Jordan along with Max Born and Werner Heisenberg founded quantum mechanics. He propounded the idea that the universal constants are variable. Pascual also penned down some works, which are consulted even today. The books and essays contain new theories based on astrophysics, biophysics and theoretical physics. Some of the works are Anschauliche Quantentheorie (1936), Elementare Quantenmechanik (1929) and Die Physik des 20 Jahrhunderts (The Physics of the 20th Century). The book was dedicated to the valued works

of Einstein, James Franck, Hertz and Bohr. For his contribution in the field of quantum physics, theory of cosmology and quantum electrodynamics, he was awarded the Max Planck Medal. Pascual Jordan was a true nationalist. He acted as an ideologist and war propagandist during the Nazi regime. In 1933 he became a member of national Socialist German Workers Party and from 1951-1961 he served as a Christian Democrat of the German Member of Parliament.
