Early Life of Chris Barrie
Christopher Jonathan Barrie attended the Methodist School in Belfast. He was not a bright student at school. Barrie also worked as a graveyard cleaner with High Wicombe Council. He joined the Brighton Poly to pursue a course in Business studies. However, he left the course in the middle of the term and joined a drama group and debuted in the play 'Dial M for Murder'. Chris Barrie subsequently did a lot of different jobs before he succeeded in his chosen field of acting.

Professional Career
Chris Barrie started his career in show business as one of the performing members of the original Comedy Store Gong Show. His sterling performance helped him to appear on the David Essex Showcase on the BBC. It also opened doors to the 1983 Jasper Carrott Election Special.
Christopher Barrie has also lent his voice on many television sitcoms. He has impersonated a number of well known personalities like Prince Charles, George Bush, David Coleman, Sean Connery's James Bond, John Cole and Kenneth Williams.
Chris Barrie collects old vehicles including cars, trucks and motorcycles. He likes to match the vehicle with appropriate clothes. Barrie collects a number of automobiles memorabilia.
