Hannover Biomedical Research School (HBRS) was established in the month of October, in 2003. This research institute has been approved by the Hannover Medical School (MHH) on 14th March, 2007. It offers various post-graduate and Master degree programs to the students in the field of medicine. Besides, the undergraduate medical students can also pursue doctoral program in this institute.
Hannover Biomedical Research School has been awarded the title of 'excellent graduate school' on 13th October, 2006. It will receive 1 million Euro per year from the government of Germany in course of the German 'Excellence Initiative'.
The curriculum of the Biomedical Research School in Hannover is revised on a regular basis. This institute aims at providing internationally well accredited degrees to the talented and young researchers. This institute also invites guest lecturers to share their knowledge with the students in the field of medical and life science.

The management board of Hannover Biomedical Research School consists of the International Advisory Board, the Executive Board, the HBRS Committee and the Central Management. The Executive Board is represented by the Dean of HBRS who remains in office for a period of 4 years.
