Visa Services: European Union nationals do not require a visa for entry into Germany. Other than this, all other foreigners require a visa for stay in Germany. Under German law, the embassies and consulates-generals of Germany in various countries are responsible for issuing visas to the applicants seeking visas. German missions require between two to 10 working days to decide on a short-stay visa application. An application for a longer stay or one seeking employment in Germany may take up to several months to process. Visa application forms can be obtained from the German missions free of charge or they can be downloaded from the website of the German government.
