Visa Services: According to an European law, a company in the European Economic Area can provide its services in the EEA without obtaining additional work permits. This is called van der Elst ruling and the visas given under this ruling are called "van der Elst" visas. According to this ruling, all non-EEA employees who have been employed in the EEA for more than 12 months, do not need to obtain additional work permits. They have to only apply for a van der Elst visa. Applications under this category have to be made in the German embassy in the candidate's country of residence. The candidate has to furnish a copy of his or her contract with the client in Germany.
