The healthcare facilities available in the hospitals of Berlin are all of international standards. In 2003 a healthcare association was set up in Berlin under the initiation of Senator Ulf Fink and some of the senior medical practitioners in the Berlin health circuit. This association is called Health-City Berlin and the objective of this body is to turn Berlin into a health destination where people can come and receive good healthcare at reasonable costs.
