Situated on the Werder island that lies between the two tributaries of the Spree River, the Friedrichswerdersche Kirche was built during the time period of 1824 and 1830. Designed by the Karl Friedrich Schinkel, the church is constructed on the lines of neo-Gothic architecture.
Named after the former Duke of Prussia, Friedrich Wilhelm, the Friedrichswerdersche Kirche has a serene charm of its own. The interior of the Church is in compliance with the simplicity of the exterior. The exterior of the church has a double-towered facade.
