The six Paris Train Stations connect the city to the major domestic and international destinations. Traveling to Paris by train from within the continent of Europe or from the U.K. is very convenient and comfortable. The Eurostar train takes just 2 hours 15 minutes to travel from Paris to London which is faster than the flights.

The six train Stations of Paris are Gare de Lyon, Gare Saint-Lazare,Gare Montparnasse, Gare de l'Est, Gare d'Austerlitz and Gare du Nord.. Numerous trains operate from these stations of Paris, thus connecting the capital city to the major cities of the world.

The Gare du Nord is one of the major train stations of Paris, as the Eurostar trains that connect the city to London starts from this station. The train station also serves all the destinations of Northern Europe with Thalys. A new station known as Gare Magenta has been set up close to the Gare du Nord. The Gare Magenta has been included on the latest RER line called "Eole", which departs from St Lazare and serves the expanding Eastern Parisian suburbs.

Gare de l'Est station is a destination for trains from Reims, Salzburg, Vienna, Nancy, Frankfurt, Munich, Strasbourg, Basel, Zurich, Luxembourg and many other cities of East of France.
The Gare Saint Lazare station controls a lot of traffic and nearly 400,000 travelers transit every day from this station. After renovation and modernization the beautiful facade of the station has been restored. Corail Normandy trains to Le Havre, Deauville, Mont St Michel operate from this station. Saint Lazare station is the Paris destination for RER trains of line E that runs from Eole to the Eastern Parisian suburbs. On lines 3, 12, 13 and 14 of Metro, Saint Lazare is an important station.

The Gare d'Austerlitz train station of Paris connects various destinations of southwestern France (Toulouse, Bordeaux), Spain and the Loire Valley. The Gare Montparnasse is among the busiest train stations of Paris. Trains from this station connect Brittany and the entire area stretching from Atlantic seaboard to the Spanish border to the capital city of Paris. It comprises of 3 different stations namely Maine, Pasteur and Vaugirard.

Most of the bullet trains run from Gare de Lyon station in Paris. The TGV trains serves destinations like Lyon, Côte d'Azur Rhône valley and Provence. Some of the trains that run from this station connect destinations like Aix en Provence, Geneva, Marseille, the French Riviera, and Italy.
