The Sainte Chapelle is housed in the beautiful Palais de la Cité. Initially, it acted as a religious as well as a political symbol of Paris, signifying the king spiritual and the temporal leadership. The chapel is divided into 2 parts. The upper chapel exemplifies Gothic architecture and can be accessed by the staircase that starts from the lower chapel. This Chapelle was constructed in order to collect the relics of Louis IX. In summer, the opening timings of the chapel are from 9:30 AM to 6.30 PM, while in winter it is open from 10 AM to 4:30 PM. The chapel remains closed on all national holidays.

- La Madeleine:
It is a beautiful structure modeled on a classical temple. It was constructed during the reign of Napoleon, to commemorate the triumph of his army. The interior of the church is extravagantly decorated. In the eastern end there is a series of frescoes that celebrate the deeds of Christian heroes. The church remains open from 7 AM to 7 PM from Monday to Saturday. On Sunday the timings are 8 AM to 1:30 PM and 3.30 PM to 7 PM.
- Saint-Denis Basilica:
It is the ancient Royal Abbey of Saint Denis and is also known as Basilique de Saint-Denis. For several centuries it has stood not only as a religious, but a political and artistic symbol of Paris. The basilica is constructed on the ground of a Gallo-Roman cemetery, where some of the famous people of France were buried. The significant tombs include those of Francis I of France, Louis XVIII of France, Louis XIV of France and others.
