Orsay Museum Paris is a splendid museum that is situated in the old Orsay railway station constructed in 1900. The museum is mainly dedicated to various forms of art like paintings, sculptures, graphic arts architecture, photography, that belonged to the period between 1848-1914. Gare d'Orsay was the first train station of Paris to have electric power that was inaugurated on 14th July, 1900. The station was converted into a museum and was renovated from 1977 to 1986. the museum is dedicated to the masterpieces of the artists of the second half of the 19th century. The Orsay Museum in Paris is closed on Mondays and the opening hours are between 9.30am to 6pm on all weekdays except on Thursdays when it is open from 9.30am to 9.45pm.
