French President François Mitterand ordered the construction of this modern library and named it the French National Library or Bibliothèque Nationale de France. This spectacular building comprises 1600 seats in the open reading rooms and around 2000 seats specially reserved for scientists and researchers. The library boasts more than 10 million pieces of printed or documented study material.
The Internet Public Library is a well-known Paris public library for the Internet community. It started as an experiment to discover and promote the efficient roles and contributions that the librarians make to the Internet and vice versa. The staff of this library are highly talented and creative working and researching on topics of public interest. The library opened on March 17, 1995.
