La Villette Park

La Villette Park is a popular park in Paris designed by Bernard Tschumi. The park was completed in 1993 and since then it has gained immense popularity among people of all age groups. The park is constructed in three sections: the buildings, which are the landmarks of the park, the galleries on either side of the circular area and the meadows and the sports grounds. Altogether the La Villette Park in Paris is a splendid blend of natural scenery and stunning modern architecture.

This park proves to be one of the favorite retreats for children, who enjoy the abundance of opportunities to play various kinds of games. The "Parc de la Villette" as it is popularly known, is located in a very remote part of Paris, between the Porte de la Villette and the Porte de Pantin. The best way to reach La Villette Park is to head for the Porte de la Villette on line 7 or Porte de Pantin on line 5. Visitors coming with their private transport can park their cars at Cité des Sciences and Cité de la Musique.

The ultra-modern museum of this park is distinctly marked for its architecture. The structure is entirely made of glass and stainless steel. The bridges, underground walkways, transparent elevators and escalators charms the visitors with its elegance and uniqueness. This museum has been designed in a way to project the "city of the future". The relaxing La Villette park was earlier the central slaughterhouse and livestock market. Later this project was motivated and thus a park of 55 hectares, surrounded by canals was created.
