The history of Hotel de Vendôme dates back to the eighteenth century. In 1723, the Hotel de Vendôme was constructed for Pierre Perrin, secretary to King Louis XIV. After being the head office of the crown property department, it was declared as the Embassy of the Republic of Texas between 1842 and 1843. Finally in the year 1858, the building was converted into a Hotel.
