The Mayor of Mulhouse is the administrative and political head of the government of Mulhouse. The Mulhouse Mayor is elected by the process of adult franchise. Being at the apex of the political and administrative organization of Mulhouse, the Mayor performs several roles and responsibilities for the welfare of the local inhabitants.

During the present times, Jean-Marie Bockel is the Mayor of Mulhouse. Jean-Marie Bockel has been elected to the position of Mayor in 1989. Jean- Marie Bockel was one of the finalists in the 2004 World Mayor Title Competition. The Mayor took initiatives in curbing the social menace of human trafficking. Held on the 14th of October in 2005, the Congress Committee on Social Cohesion had organized a meeting to provide solutions to control prostitution.
