Mulhouse History Museum is considered to be one of the most beautiful monuments in this old French town. It is located at Place de la Réunion, 68100 Mulhouse. The museum building was designed following the Renaissance style of construction. The museum was established in the year 1552 after a fire broke out in the original town hall. This famous museum represents the bourgeois Protestants' pride and symbolizes the liberties for which they had fought. The art and artifacts displayed in the museum offer the visitors an insight into the historical past of the Free Republic of Mulhouse.

this center attends visitors from 10.00 A.M to 6.00 P.M, whereas, on bank holidays and Sundays, it remains open from 10 A.M to 12 noon in the morning and 2 P.M to 6 P.M in the evening. In the months of July and August, this office can be accessed until 7 o' clock.
The visiting hours of the Mulhouse History Museum are from 10 A.M to 12 P.M in the morning and 2 P.M to 6 P.M in the evening throughout the year. However, from July to August the opening hours extend up to 6.30 P.M. The museum remains closed on Tuesdays, Good Friday, New Year's Day, Easter Monday, Pentecost Monday, 1st May, 14th July, 1st and 11th November and 26th December (Boxing Day and Christmas Day).
