Located in the southern part of Alsace in Mulhouse, the Electropolis Museum shows the process of production of electrical energy. Spread over an area of 4000 m², the Electropolis Museum highlights the events that led to the invention of electrical energy and subsequently electricity through audio-visual programs and models.
The Electropolis Museum of Mulhouse is easily accessible from all parts of France by well-maintained roadways and rail routes. The museum is reachable from the railway station of Mulhouse by bus number 17. The road route of 36 motorways joins Mulhouse with the rest of the country.

The students are organized into groups of 8 to 30. A unique way of imparting scientific knowledge, the students are encouraged to go round the museum and discover the development of electrical fluid and application of electricity.
A characteristic feature of the Electropolis Museum is that its offers a different angle of the understanding electricity and its uses. Both the scientific and historical viewpoints are used to study electrical energy in the museum.
