Mass Transit: The most popular travel mode to Lyon is buses and taxis. The urban transport network of Lyon city is made up of 100 bus lines, four metro lines, two funiculars, plus two tramway lines inaugurated in 2001. The central bus station is based at Lyon Perrache Railway Station. Lyon's Metro Network has four different lines and 40 stations. With a single ticket you can access all bus and metro lines for one hour from the time of validation. Return journeys on the same line are prohibited. Airports: Lyon Saint-Exupery International has TGV high-speed train station that facilitates air-rail connections.

Railways: The city is connected to the North and the South by the TGV. The two major train stations of Lyon are Lyon-Part-Dieu and Lyon-Perrache.
