TRADITIONS OF LYON

Important Festivals: Lyon is a city that has an intense cultural life. Around thirty museums house permanent collections. The most celebrated festival of Lyon is Fete des lumieres (festival of lights). It is celebrated on 8th December. The people pay homage to Virgin Mary by placing little candle lamps in their windows.
