The Canadian Embassy Addis Ababa plays an important role of representing the interests of Canada in Ethiopia as well as Djibouti. It is ideally located in the Old Airport Area of Nefas Silk Lafto Sub City, Kebele. Mr Y. Boulanger is currently the ambassador of Canada to Ethiopia.
The Canadian Embassy Addis Ababa provides consular services to the Australians and Canadians who reside in or visit Ethiopia and the Republic of Djibouti. The consular section also provides limited consular services to the Canadians living in or visiting Sudan. The immigration section owns a liaison office for the Nairobi Regional Office. The applications for visa and immigration are sent to the Canadian High Commission of Nairobi for processing and decision.

For general services, one can visit the Canadian Embassy of Addis Ababa from Monday to Thursday in between 8:00 am to 12:15 pm and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The office for visa application is open from 8:00 am to 11:00 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays in a week. The embassy provides consular services from Monday to Friday between 8:30 am and 12:00 noon.
