El-Mansoura

El-Mansoura is an important city of the Governorate of Daqahliya. This city is one of the major tourist destinations in Egypt. The city is mainly known for industries and its commercial activities. Tourists can go for sightseeing to a number of places in this city. The geographical location of this Egyptian city is 31 degree 04 min Latitude and 31 degree 38 min Longitude. This city was established in 1221 by Sultan Malik el-Kamil.

In El-Mansoura in Egypt, tourists can visit the Mosque of El-Muwafiq. From there, they can go to visit the historical places like the prison of Louis IX and some other places. Another very famous camping ground of the Crusaders is also located in El-Mansoura.

From about a distance of 10 km from El-Mansoura, there is a village called El-Baqliya, where tourists will love to visit. In this village, tourists will get to see the remnants of ancient civilization associated with the Graeco-Roman Period.
